Cantina Colonnella - Abruzzo

Colonnella is a village in the Abruzzo Region rich with history and artistic beauty.  The wine growing area here is beautiful as well, benefitting from a diverse climate with ideal growing conditions.  The Colonnella Cooperative was founded in 1971 by a small group of farmers.  These farmers use traditional growing methods and varieties to carefully craft honest wines with excellent structure.  Their Montepulciano is a great example of this type: soft red fruit, slight earthiness and bright acidity.
